Partial Foot Prosthesis

Our partial foot prosthetics address many of the common shortcomings of traditional prosthetics.

Whether you have a recent or older amputation, the addition of a prosthetic can help you feel back to normal again. Getting the right type of prosthetic is even more important, since an improperly fitting one can lead to issues with your gait, balance and even injuries. Here at Tierney Orthotics and Prosthetics, we want to make the transition to a prosthetic as smooth as possible, which is why we have taken the time to create partial foot prosthetics that address many of the shortcomings of traditional prosthetics. For example, some of the issues we look at included:

  • Fit. The amputee world is full of stories of ill-fitting prosthetics. Like a pair of shoes, not every prosthetic is going to fit every person just right. You need to make adjustments to fit each person’s unique measurements and biology. Our partial foot prosthetics are custom-made to address this concern for a comfortable fit.
  • Function. Are there some things you can no longer do because of your disability? With our partial foot prosthetics, you’ll find yourself being able to complete activities that might otherwise be off-limits such as a walk along the beach or taking a hike.
  • Longevity. With our materials and careful construction, you can look forward to partial foot prosthetics that will last for a long time with the right care.
  • Safety. Our partial foot prosthetics look and feel like your foot, so safety and balance are improved. Even normal footwear can be used, which helps to increase confidence.

We would love to tell you more about our partial foot prosthetics here at Tierney Orthotics and Prosthetics. To learn more, please give us a call today!
